Lucidato’s The Four Most Stylish Men on TV

Few months ago, I read an article on GQ on ‘The 25 Most Stylish Men on TV.’ As now I have this blog, I have decided to create my own list… (OK…unlike the writers of GQ, I do not watch every single show on every network…so the candidates have been drawn from TV shows of my taste…) Subsequently, my list is ‘The 4, (yes just 4, not 25) Most Stylish Men on TV.’

#4 Barney Stinson, ‘How I met your mother’

Neil Patrick Harris probably has the most ideal body figure to wear a suit among others on this list. His Italian custom-made suit, silk tie, and shirt combinations are as Legen~~~~dary as his charm with the ladies. Addition of pocket squares and/or solid tie bars to his arsenal would have bumped him up a few ranks on this list.

#3 Don Draper, ‘Mad Men’

Don Draper. The name says it all. Power. Bold. Classy. His wardrobe definitely reflects his attributes. The only thing I would change about his unless-spotless wardrobe is the fit. Draper’s wardrobe consists of the typical ‘American cut’ suits. A slimmer fit would have been near perfection.

(Side note: I wonder whether he will be wearing the same suits on the hospital bed when he checks in for a life threatening sickness from all the cigarettes and weekday-10am scotch at age 45… :))

#2 Ari Gold, ‘Entourage’

Ari Gold could have easily been on the top of the list, but surprisingly, he was actually absent, not even an honourable mention, on GQ’s list. Custom-made fitting suits, along with tie and shirt combinations that are not shy of colours and patterns. Plus, the near-perfection use of the complimentary accessories… The only tiny little detail that took him away from being crowned the #1 on this list…the fit of his suit jacket.

Is it just me or did Ari’s suit jacket always so ‘well-fitted’ that made you feel like he was about to turn into a 10-feet-tall green monster?  I have always wondered how he was able to breathe during the shoot.

#1 Dr. Spencer Reid, ‘Criminal Minds’

Wayfarers. Skinny Ties. Slim fit blazers. Checkered shirts. Converse. and occasional vest. Add in the shaggy haircut. The ultimate geek chic.  Reid’s style quotient definitely lives up to his intelligence quotient of 187.
